Frame Relay alternate for ‘frame-relay route’ using ‘connect’

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios-xml/ios/wan/command/wan-a1.html#wp6720044030

The following example shows how to enable Frame Relay switching and define a connection called one between DLCI 16 on serial interface 0 and DLCI 100 on serial interface 1.

frame-relay switching
connect one serial0 16 serial1 100

‘frame-relay route’, the configuration would look like this

interface Serial2/0
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay
no fair-queue
clock rate 128000
frame-relay intf-type dce
frame-relay route 103 interface Serial2/2 301
!
interface Serial2/2
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay
clock rate 128000
frame-relay intf-type dce
frame-relay route 301 interface Serial2/0 103
end

Here is another way to configure, using ‘connect’ command

interface Serial2/0
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay
no fair-queue
clock rate 128000
frame-relay intf-type dce
!
interface Serial2/2
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay
clock rate 128000
frame-relay intf-type dce
!
connect S20-S22 Serial2/0 103 Serial2/2 301
